With his unique approach to guitar and his vocal interpretations of traditional and his original tunes, he has managed to create music that is all his own". Woody Mann Doughty has this technique of taking an old blues song and making it his own, he doesn't adopt an over blown deep southern accent or feel he's got to rip the strings off the neck with the intensity of it all. Rather, he concentrates on feeling, subtlety and that thing we used to call soulfulness. His first album “The Bell”, which appeared a year or so ago, was very well received and rightly earned him an interview spot on BBC radio’s the Paul Jones Show, as well as some classy club and festival gigs.
